This Privacy Policy explains how Skillmix Inc. ("Skillmix," "we," "our") collects, uses, shares, and safeguards personal information when you access our platform, including its web, API, and mobile interfaces.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete the data.

2.3 How We Use Information

  • Provide the Service – Authenticate users, run agents, store chats and documents, deliver API responses, schedule prompts.
  • Improve & Develop – Debug, test, and improve features (using aggregated or pseudonymized data where feasible).
  • Security & Abuse Prevention – Detect fraud, spam, policy violations, and maintain audit logs.
  • Communications – Send transactional emails (receipts, alerts), and—if consented—product updates or marketing.
  • Legal & Compliance – Satisfy regulatory requirements, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms of Use.

2.4 Legal Bases (GDPR)

We process personal data under one or more of the following legal bases: (a) contractual necessity, (b) legitimate interests (e.g., platform integrity, analytics), (c) consent (e.g., marketing, beta features), (d) legal obligation.

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and up to 90 days after deletion (to ensure backup integrity), unless a longer retention period is required for legal, accounting, or dispute resolution purposes.

2.10 Automated Decision-Making & AI

Skillmix uses AI systems to generate content or outputs algorithmically. Outputs may be inaccurate. We do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects without human involvement.

2.11 Cookies & Tracking

We use first-party cookies for authentication, session management, and security. We use privacy-respecting analytics that do not track users across sites. You can disable cookies in your browser, but core features may not function properly.

2.12 Third-Party Links

Our platform may link to external websites or services. Their data practices are independent of ours, and we encourage reviewing their privacy policies.

2.13 Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app notice at least 30 days in advance. The most current version is always available on this page.
